Murder Under the Microscope 2009

At an awards ceremony on August 17 at the State Parliament House, the Deputy Director-General, Leslie Loble presented the Eco-Sleuths award to the Warriors from Vardy's Road Public School. The Warriors were first to solve the Murder under the Microscope online challenge in 2009.

Over 26,000 students from all states and territories throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the USA and China took up the challenge to solve the crime, using a multimedia online platform developed by the NSW Department of Education and Training's Centre for Learning Innovation. 

Director General's Award 2009

Vardy's Road School received 1 of only 43 state awards given to schools for outstanding school achievement. The school received the award for providing innovative programs ranging from student welfare initiatives to academic excellence.
